The mattress platform adjusts to two height positions: a higher position for ages 0-6 months, making night feeds and nappy changes easier, and a lower position for 6+ months, which is safer once your baby begins pulling themselves up to stand.

Two stages of use — from birth to 6 years
Stage 1 — Baby cot: birth to 3 years.The La Maison Ecru functions as a full baby cot with a commanding presence in the nursery. In the early months the mattress sits at the higher position; as your baby becomes more active and mobile, it moves to the lower position for maximum safety.
Stage 2 — Montessori-style toddler bed: 3 to 6 years.
The cot rails are removed and the La Maison Ecru converts into a Montessori-style children's bed — the low frame allows the child to climb in and out completely independently, while the 182 cm arch remains the central design feature of the room. For additional safety during the transition, the Casababy Magic Pro bed guard rail is available separately.
